³³ And when^[a] the sixth hour came, darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour. ³⁴ And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which is translated, “My God, my God, why^[b] have you forsaken me?”)^{[c] 35} And some of the bystanders, when they^[d] heard it,^[e] said, “Behold, he is summoning Elijah!”
